CPD Accredited Media Training
Indigo’s CPD Standards Accredited half-day ‘Media Training for Professionals’ provides delegates with the skills and the confidence required to communicate concisely and effectively with media audiences to ensure a positive outcome for their organisation.
Each session is delivered by two of Indigo’s senior directors, each of whom has over 20 years’ experience advising public and private sector clients on their media presence and includes practical exercises and analysis for participants to rehearse what they have learned.
Members of professional organisations who successfully complete the course are typically eligible to be certified to receive four CPD points.
The training covers:
– An initial snapshot: to understand where the participant is in regard to media exposure.
– Understanding the media: who they are, the language they use, their differing needs and what they are trying to achieve.
– Golden rules and preparation: the recipe for success to ensure a positive outcome.
– Master your message: honing the key messages and how to deliver them with authority and flare to a variety of audiences.
– From good to excellent: practice, practice, practice, to elevate participants’ delivery to achieve greater impact.
– Practical interview sessions that allow delegates to get to grips with challenging scenarios, based on real-world scenarios.
Indigo also delivers a range of bespoke media and public affairs training tailored precisely to the needs of each participant.
Sessions usually take place in Edinburgh but we aim to deliver flexibility on timings and location based on the needs of delegates. For further information on availability and prices and bookings contact us find out more.
Select Committee Training
An appearance before MPs or MSPs at formal parliamentary committee hearings can be viewed as either a daunting reputational gauntlet or a golden opportunity to put the record straight.
Indigo’s experienced team offers bespoke preparation and training sessions that arm your people with the knowledge and skills necessary to help them survive and thrive under the unique pressure of select committee scrutiny with confidence, clarity and consistency.
Written Content
Much promotional work is content-driven: written, video, photographic or design. Indigo is experienced in content that ranges from social media posts to newsletters to internal communications and stakeholder engagement materials.
As well as shaping the editorial content, Indigo drafts copy, commission authors, designers and photographers, to produce the magazine or publication that does the job you need. Examples include a new publication, selling a product or service or informing a new audience of your work.
Event Management
Supporting your events is a key part of stakeholder engagement.
Whether it is hosting a Parliamentary reception, through to a sector specific C-suite dinner and Royal or VIP visits, Indigo can deliver all aspects of event planning and delivery.
From creating the event from the outset, including identifying guest lists, speakers, venues, caterers and conference materials etc., Indigo is proactive in its approach and offers an attention to detail that is second to none.
Where appropriate, we will facilitate wider engagement through the media and other stakeholders to promote and support your event.
Our experienced team can also be on hand to manage all the logistics on the day to make your event a success, freeing up your valuable time to get the most out of your event or conference.

The quality of the media training Indigo supplied was second to none and it was an extremely valuable session.
As well as working through practical interview scenarios, the team offered insight and specific advice throughout, leaving me better equipped to handle the range of interviews and media interaction I’m likely to (and since have) come across.
