Individuals looking to meet the formal annual CPD requirements for their professional body, institute or employer now have an unusual new course that will allow them to collect CPD points.
Indigo, one of Scotland’s leading specialist communications companies, is celebrating an industry-first by becoming officially CPD accredited as a provider of industry-leading media training courses for professionals.
Following a detailed audit of the content and quality of its flagship half-day ‘Media Training for Professionals’ course, Indigo has secured formal accreditation from The CPD Standards Office. It’s the body that ensures that learning activity conforms to CPD best practice and is appropriate for inclusion in a formal CPD record. This allows Indigo to provide certification for almost any member of a UK professional body wishing to participate.
Delegates attending courses with the company can request a CPD Certificate of Attendance and record their attendance towards their formal CPD requirements for their professional body, institute or employer.
Indigo Deputy Managing Director Peter Smyth commented:
“As far as we can tell, Indigo is Scotland’s first and only CPD Accredited comms company providing media training courses for professionals. Securing accreditation with the UK’s largest CPD standards authority made perfect sense, as it demonstrates the excellence of our courses, allowing members of professional organisations to use our service with confidence while securing those all-important CPD points.”
“Now Indigo has achieved this accreditation and status as an accredited CPD Provider, we are committed to working hard to maintain, and exceed, the excellent standard we have already set. We will also be looking to expand our CPD accredited courses to include all of our existing offerings, from Public Affairs courses to our popular Insights events and social media etiquette, to ensure that delegates can collect CPD points for attending.”
Indigo’s flagship CPD Accredited half-day ‘Media Training for Professionals’ provides delegates with the skills and the confidence they need to communicate concisely and effectively with media audiences to ensure a positive outcome for their organisation.
Its emphasis is on accessible, hands-on learning, using real-world scenarios to provide a firm understanding in what to expect when engaging with the media, and how to ensure that messages come across to audiences clearly, with both authority and flair.
Each session is delivered by two of Indigo’s senior directors, each with over 20 years’ experience advising public and private sector clients on their media presence and includes practical exercises and analysis for participants to rehearse what they have learned.
Members of professional organisations who successfully complete the course are eligible to be certified to receive four CPD points.
Indigo also delivers a range of bespoke media and public affairs training tailored precisely to the needs of each participant and their organisation. For further information on bookings and costs contact Peter Smyth on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0131 554 1230 or visit here to find out more.
