Award winning catering company, Heritage Portfolio hosted Forth One’s first-ever nativity play, narrated by Boogie and starring Arlene as Mary at exclusive use events venue, Mansfield Traquair also known as Edinburgh’s Sistine chapel. The festive event attracted around 500 guests on Wednesday (18th December) to see the performance, raising over £3,500 for the Forth One Mission Christmas campaign.
Following an extensive search pupils from George Watson’s primary six class won a starring role in the nativity, taking to the stage alongside Edinburgh Singer/Songwriter, Callum Beattie, who played Joseph and Scottish Comedian, Craig Hill, Jim Leishman MBE and football Pundit, Paul Mitchell.
The fundraising efforts from the evening will support Bauer Radio’s Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’, which will help local underprivileged and disadvantaged children across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife.
Heritage Portfolio, Executive Director, Mark Miller said:
“Christmas is a time not just for giving, but also giving something back. We’ve been very proud to support Forth One’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas for several years and were thrilled to get behind the play and offer Mansfield Traquair as a venue and to share some hot chocolate, gingerbread men and Christmas cheer with all of the guests to attend the show.
“Being an Edinburgh based catering and Events Company it is really important to us to give back to our home city. We’re delighted to support a local charity that offers much needed help and resource to children across Edinburgh and further afield.”
