Taking up the theme of the power of good, John MacMillan, CEO of the Eric Liddell Centre said:
“As the CEO of a care charity and community hub in Edinburgh named after one of Scotland’s iconic heroes I feel fortunate to have an insight into what Eric Liddell might have understood to be the meaning of ‘the power of good’.
“Looking at how he lived his life and considering the meaning of Power – the ability to do or act, strength of mind, body and soul – and Good – morally excellent, beneficial, kind, talented, reliable, giving pleasure and hope – we are in a position to follow his example and respond to the needs and circumstances of others, enhancing health and wellbeing and improving people’s lives.”
