Indigo is hosting one of our special Insights event for a select group of business leaders and we would love you to join us.
We are delighted that our guest speaker will be Ken Symon, Editor of Scottish Business Insider and one of Scotland’s best known journalists.
With a long and highly respected career in newspapers and magazines, we believe many of our clients will be fascinated to hear about the challenges that 24 /7 news and instant reporting on social media pose; and indeed, how journalists make decisions on the veracity of a story that could be changing by the minute.
Ken has been Editor of Scotland’s national business magazine, Scottish Business Insider since March 2016. During this time he has introduced a range of changes to the magazine including introducing a Vital Statistics page giving key numbers on Scottish business and the economy; Insider Creative, which looks at the latest on the creative industries sector, and special themed issues including an annual one on Women in Business.
Ken’s earlier career in newspapers saw him work as Business Editor for The Scotsman, Sunday Herald and as Deputy Editor of The Sunday Times Scotland. He has won the UK Local Government Journalist of the Year Award and a Scottish Press Award.
Ken will be joined by Indigo’s Managing Director, Elaine McKean who will look at the 24/7 news agenda from a client perspective with regard to maximising opportunities and minimising negative coverage.
