TV plays a powerful role on portraying people in the media and has the ability to make or break careers.
As the final of the Great British Bake Off drew to a dramatic climax last night, Frances Quinn scooped the Bake Off queen honour. But for the children’s fashion designer it’s unlikely she’ll remain the star of the show.
Instead, runner-up Ruby Tandoh is hotly tipped to become the queen of the kitchen.
While some viewers may not have warmed to her, the camera doesn’t lie, and after focusing briefly on Frances and rival Kimberly it would quickly avert back to former model and philosophy student Ruby.
With the ability to blush, lower her gaze and drop her voice, she knows how to work the camera to her advantage and it’s these combinations, not to mention being able to come up with some culinary delights, which has made her hotly tipped become the next Nigella.
